Quickstart
Your first milestone is a completed purchase that appears in LiftVector with the right campaign, affiliate, and commission—not just a connected payment account.
Before starting, have your company website, access to your payment-provider account, and someone who can update your website and checkout. Decide whether you are setting up a test or live company before connecting payments.
1. Create your merchant account
Section titled “1. Create your merchant account”Create an account with your name, email, and password. Company details come next, during onboarding.
Already have a LiftVector account? Log in first. You can use the same account for multiple companies; New company in the Company dropdown starts another company’s setup. An unfinished company resumes its own onboarding.
2. Set up your company and connection
Section titled “2. Set up your company and connection”In Company, enter your company name and website, including https:// or http://. This profile describes your business; your campaign will have its own name and destination website.
In Connection, choose the available payment provider and complete its authorization flow. On return, check the displayed account and environment.
The first connection fixes this company’s provider, account, and environment. Reconnecting must use that same identity. You cannot replace a retained connection with another account or switch it from test to live. Use a separate company for a different connection identity or environment.
Connecting payments lets LiftVector read payment evidence. It does not install referral capture on your website or connect your checkout to an affiliate.
3. Create your first campaign
Section titled “3. Create your first campaign”In Campaign, give the offer a name and enter the website where affiliate links should send visitors. Choose:
- Percentage of payment or Fixed amount per payment.
- The percentage, or the fixed amount and currency.
- A holding period before commission becomes available.
- Optional customer-wide commission count and month limits, where supported by your connection.
Leave Sales history starts blank to start from today, or choose the history start you need. This is not a way to backdate your new reward agreement.
Read Campaigns and rewards before choosing terms you will offer to affiliates.
4. Complete website integration
Section titled “4. Complete website integration”In Website integration, choose the checkout method your website actually uses. Copy the generated installation snippet and follow the matching instructions in your workspace. For Server-Side Checkout, add data-liftvector="true" to your existing checkout anchor or form: the script sends via without extra browser code. Your backend still needs to validate that token and pass it to Stripe.
The hosted script loads from https://static.liftvector.app/script/liftvector.js. Keep your merchant, provider, and method attributes from the generated snippet.
Select I have completed these instructions only after doing the work. Merchant-confirmed records your confirmation; it is not proof of a working installation or attributed purchase.
Use the Website integration guide for the capture and checkout handoff. You can return to Settings → Website integration after onboarding.
5. Invite an affiliate
Section titled “5. Invite an affiliate”Open your campaign, choose Affiliates, then Invite affiliates:
- Select the campaign and paste recipients, or upload a CSV with an
emailcolumn. - Write the subject and message, then select Review invitation batch.
- Resolve any Email Setup blocker shown in the review.
- Confirm that every recipient specifically opted in to affiliate invitations from your company, then select Queue reviewed batch.
The recipient opens the invitation to create an account or join with their existing invited account. Affiliate access is invitation-only; sharing a public referral link does not enroll someone in your campaign. See affiliate participation for alternatives and invitation handling.
6. Verify a referred purchase
Section titled “6. Verify a referred purchase”- Have your affiliate open their campaign in the affiliate portal and use its current referral link.
- Open that link in a fresh browser session and follow your normal checkout path. Use a new test customer when checking a test company, so an existing customer association does not obscure the result.
- Complete payment in the same provider account and environment connected to this company. A live-environment purchase moves real money; use a separate test company for simulated purchases.
- After payment processing, open Sales in the merchant workspace and inspect the sale. Check its Affiliate attribution, Commission terms, payment amount, currency, and Commission payable from date.
- Check Commissions for the expected affiliate earnings. A holding period can leave earnings pending rather than available. If the sale needs fresh provider evidence, use Update sale on its detail page.
A page visit, checkout redirect, or setup confirmation is not evidence of a paid referral. Read Attribution and commissions to understand the result, or use Troubleshooting if the sale is missing or linked incorrectly.
Pay affiliates through your existing process
Section titled “Pay affiliates through your existing process”LiftVector records payouts; it does not send money. Preparing a payout reserves its balance. Send the money separately, then record the completed external payment and its transfer reference. An available commission balance is not a scheduled payout.
Explore your records with an AI client
Section titled “Explore your records with an AI client”Optionally connect Claude Code or Codex CLI with MCP to ask questions about your company’s stored campaigns, affiliates, revenue trends, referrals, sales, commissions, and payout bookkeeping. Approve one company through browser login. The connection is read-only: it cannot update evidence, change records, or send payments.
